They forgot to ask about sandwiches

I find the sandwich question to be a glaring omission. What would you call the kind of sandwich that you get at Subway? (I mean, besides "barely adequate".) Sub? Submarine? Hoagie? Grinder?

I am: 50% General American, 30% Yankee, 10% Upper Midwestern, I believe 5% Dixie, and 0% Midwestern. Which is a really good map of who I am, where I live now, and also who my parents are. (The dollop of Dixie is thanks to my mom, who lived in Arkansas until she was five, and you can still sometimes hear it.)
