A maze of twisty little passages...

If you ever played one of the old Infocom text adventures, like any of the Zork games, or Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy (requires Java, but you can ENJOY POETRY if you have it), or some of the other classics, then you'll appreciate the text-adventure version of the Bush Presidency.

Be sure to read some of the comments. My favorite? "We need more grass-roots Activision in this country."

  • My favorite was Starcross. It took me forever to figure out that the gun misfiring wasn't a misfire at all, but that the silver rod was hidden in the barrel. I'll take that knowledge to my grave.

  • Yeah, I'll always remember the Babel Fish from Hitchhiker's Guide that way.

The other video game thing I will remember until I die is the graveyard sequence in the laserdisc game Cliff Hanger: down-left-down-right-up. I have no idea why, and I'm sure that it's occupying precious storage space that could be better used for something else...but there you have it.
