Wild Card Weekend

  • Let's leave Randy Moss alone for ten minutes inside any tavern within twenty miles of Lambeau Field. Can we do that?

  • Ugh, the Packers stank. Where the hell was the defense? (I know the answer to that question: the same place it's been since about week 2 of the regular season, namely nowhere.) I don't want to even think about the number of times Daunte Culpepper was able to just STAND in the pocket while the seconds ticked away. The Packers need a new Defensive Coordinator. And a new defense.

  • I still say the Vikings are gonna get creamed next week.

  • Given the state of the NFC this year, are any of the remaining teams in the playoffs even worth anybody's time and effort? Even if you're in Minnesota?

  • Matt K. told me today that he watched the end of the Colts-Broncos game. My response to that was, "What, you mean the first ten minutes of the first quarter?" What a blowout.

  • (Josh) I think Randy would do better in a bar brawl than Favre would've done if he'd actually connected on the punch he threw at Chris Claiborne (I think). Pretty much anybody but Brett Favre would've gotten a penalty and ejected from the game for that kind of b.s. It shows poor sportsmanship and no class. Instead, Jimmy Johnson, Howie Long, Bradshaw, and all of the morons on Fox are rabid about a little bootie shakin'. Poor taste? Maybe. Equal to throwing a punch? Hell no. Hell, all Collingsworth could do was chuckle when Favre did another moron move that cost his team at least three and probably seven points when they were still in the thick of it. If Favre had lowered his head and taken a hit, first and goal. Sour grapes and double standards, but it all tastes good to watch the national media who all worship Favre cry in their doilies.

And we'll see about Philly. The Vikes played them tough in Week 2. If Tice had challenged the T.O. non-touchdown, it would've been a different game. And as it was, they played 'em a hell of a lot tougher than the Packers, who essentially should've been wearing dresses for the rout.

    :)

  • (MattK) My prediction before the playoffs began was Indy and Philly in the Superbowl, with Indy winning. We shall see...
