I think that would fall into the "Something Else" category--Problem is, nobody came up with a good name for something with the range of a guitar and a bass. How about Bass guitar? Or Guitar Bass. Or Guibass. Or Bitar. That's what my friend's two-year old calls his dad's guitar.
